Unfortunately, with this painting there was a skewing of the top, left and bottom edges due to the camera lens. Nevertheless the photograph gives a good sense of the color and texture of this painting. Also, there is a new theme which becomes very important later: The compactification of the canvas plane. This is not just ensuring that the canvas plane contains the type of even drum-skin tension I described earlier, but that the plane becomes a dense compactification. I discuss this in detail in the third series of paintings.
